Will I need a passport to travel to Israel?
If you are a U.S. citizen, a passport is required to travel to Israel. To apply for your passport, or to renew your passport, please contact your local post-office, local passport office, or apply online. Passport processing can take up to several months, from the moment you gather your documents, to the day you apply for your passport, to the day you receive your passport. Arrange for your passport as soon as possible. The process for expediting passports can be costly.
If you already have a passport, be sure to check its validity date. It is required that your passport be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. You will not need a visa to enter Israel, nor will you need any vaccinations.
You will be required to provide Israel Advantage Tours with a color copy of the inside identification pages of your passport. The name you furnish on all tour registration forms must match exactly with your name as it appears on your passport.
If you are a citizen from outside of the U.S., or hold a passport from a country other than the U.S., please be sure to mention this to our travel experts.
Can I drink the water?
Water in the hotels in Israel is safe to drink. Bottled water is readily available and can be purchased at the majority of tour sites or on the tour vehicle. Typically, the cost is nominal.
Is it safe to travel to Israel?
Israel is a safe place to visit and tourists feel secure while moving about the country. According to the State Department, “Personal safety conditions in major metropolitan areas, including Tel Aviv and Haifa and their surrounding regions, are comparable to or better than those in other major global cities.”
Your safety and security are our foremost priorities. In accordance with Israel Advantage Tours’ practices, we are dedicated to ensuring both. We are in constant contact with our overseas offices, travel partners, and professional and experienced tour guides, as well as other contacts we have on the ground. Our partners are constantly monitoring the country, its sites, cities, highways, gathering the latest news and details of what’s happening throughout Israel. Be assured that we work closely with our overseas partners to demonstrate our utmost commitment in ensuring that the tour runs safely and smoothly.
